Hey guys I've called Tivo for the second time to get a channel lineup for the TBN station. It sounds like they email someone to get it done. How long does this normally take to get added to the guide data?

What I should have added was that the station is OTA and analog. Its a christian channel and only has a small watt tower broadcasting(i think like 13 watts only what FCC will allow). Thanks again guys

You can check if the station is added by going to the web site TIVO uses: ZAP2IT.COM. The process is long and usually frustrating. There are so many sites and decisions along the way that it often never gets fixed and you never know who to blame.

Are you on cable of sat? Probably cable. The cable providers have this internal network of steps to make changes that a chess master couldn't figure out.

I apologize for being negative. It will probably get fixed tomorrow in your case. I reported to TWC, Yorba Linda, CA that the guide data for channel 34 was incorrect in Aug 2003. The cable shows station letters of FSW2. It is supposed to be Fox Prime Ticket. I learned FSW2 is a designator for a station that shows infomercials from 4 am to 4 pm, and then shows Fox Sports Net 2(now called Prime ticket) from 4 pm to 4 am. After 25 emails and many phone calls, I gave up. It is still wrong today.

Good luck...

Go to here and submit a request:

I've done it 3 times, and it's never taken longer than two weeks.

Once you request it at the above link, TiVo usually adds the channel after 3-4 business days.

If you request the channel by Monday, it is usually in the guide by Thursday or Friday. If you request it now, it should be there by Tuesday or Wednesday.

I put in a request noting several discrepancies on the new lineup in my Comcast area (recently upgraded) over two weeks ago, and it is "still being investigated by our provider". I pointed out that this was important since one of the discrepancies is with one of the channels used by Guided Setup to figure out which lineup to use, and as it stands, Guided Setup in my area will pick the wrong lineup. I had to manually pick the right lineup.

Lineup changes where channels change numbers or swap numbers seem to take longer than new channels added on a particular number.

I've requested about five channels on Verizon FiOS in the past year and all were added within three business days.

I have been dealing with a similar problem with BH in Pasco Co. Fl. They added some HD channels about two months ago, which is great. Tivo keeps alerting me to channel changes, but never gets it right. 720 is now listed as DSHD (Discovery HD) and shows the programming as such. It is actually HD Theater (which is also on channel 690.) Channel 721 is DISHD and really is Discovery Channel HD. The program data says "to be announced." Tivo keeps deleting channel 721 from my lineup, annoying. Channel 728 is labeled HSTYH and carries the actual programs, but the guide data says "to be announced." 734, labeled HSTR..., Has the program guide data for History HD but no programming (channel not available banner pops up.)

Needless to say, converting my season passes from regular D to HD has been less than fun. I go up or down the guide to see the descriptions, then so a record by time or channel set up. or recording two half-hour shows in the guide to get one hour of Mythbusters.

I have been waiting to complain as BH says they are changing the channel line-up around Dec 10th. They are saying 720 will be HD Theater, 721 will be Discovery HD, and 734 will be History Channel HD.

Anyone know who to complain to (Tivo or BH) if the channels are still messed up after they say they changed them?
