I've had it with the awful technical support at DIRECTV!

I could write a book about their incompetence. You'll love this example... I purchased a new DIRECTV remote and spent several hours on the phone with them entering different codes so it would control both my HR10-250 receive and my Sony SXRD TV, just like my TiVo remote. The last technician I spoke to said to, "Just lay the remote on the table for a few minutes to let it rest, and then try entering the 10100 code again, maybe it will work then!
Arrg!

I'm considering building a media PC to get the few cable channels I watch off AT&T Broadband TV:

http://www.att.mobitv.com for $19.95/month

Can I pay a subscription directly to TiVo and continue to use my HR10-250 to record and watch all the great free HD TV off my terrestrial TV antenna?

Thanks....

You can buy an S3 (and I presume the new HD model) to do what you want.
