am i correct in understanding that the HR10-250 Directv HD Tivo Satellite Receiver limits the # of dtv hd channels that are truly viewable in hd quailty.
if so what are the options to view all dtv hd channels in hd?

Directv is going to MPEG4 from MPEG2, The HR10-250 is an MPEG2 box and therefore being discontinued. HDEF MPEG2 is being discontinued. That will free up bandwidth.

then is the DIRECTV HR21 (HD/DVR) HDTV-MPEG4-DVR the unit that best offers the most hd channels? if not, are there other comparable units. thx

Sorry, I am the wrong one to ask. I only use SD Directv Tivos, In my old age I cannot see the HD difference. That question is better asked at www.DBStalk.com, They closely follow the HD field.:)
