FYI for anyone using Time Warner Albany, NY
If you want an M-card, you have to go through a major hassle to get one.
First you have to call and schedule a regular cable card install. If you ask for an M-card they will tell you they don't have them.
Which is a lie. They do and have had them for a while.
But you MUST schedule the install first.
Then you have to call Tom Landry at TW and have him get an M-card to get to the technician.
Do not even bother telling the rep that Tom Landry exists and has M-cards. They don't know who this person is and claim that they cannot specify the card type (I got that the 2nd time around).
Do not call Tom until you schedule the install first as he won't be able to put a note in the system until AFTER you schedule the install.
Anyone who needs Tom's #, please send me a PM and I'll get you his #.
The install went flawless, BTW. I knew far more than the TW tech did. I could've done it all myself but stupid TW requires a service call.
