Clipped show, software update?

I noticed for the first time on my HR10-250 last night that a one hour show at 10:00 was clipped to 30 minutes because two other shows of higher priorities needed to be recorded at 10:30. I thought this feature was supposed to come along with the other Tivo updates next year?

Did I miss something? I searched here and didn't see any mention of this by anyone.

Has nobody else seen this? I noticed it at about 10:50, when I went to play the show back, the green bar only showed 30 min. I said WTF?, and then I think I pressed display on the remote, and under show length it said "(Clipped)". I think somewhere it had some slightly longer text explaining, but I don't remember where.

Thanks for the link. I didn't do an actual search, I just went back about a month in the threads here. I'm surprised that if it's been around so long that it's been talked about so little, and that I never noticed it before. I think it's a nice feature.

I have seen it happen only once, back when I started the original thread. Never before, never since.

Given that my wife Tivo's pretty much the entire major network prime time schedule(!), I too am very surprised.
