Possibly a simple fix?

I have Series 2 TiVo and Comcast Digital that supplies HD programming. Recently bought a Panasonic HDTV Plasma and when watching directly from the cable line we have HD channels. When we go through the Comcst supplied Digital box into TiVo the only hookup we have is audio L/R and a single Video output going to the TV. The TV has one cable input (I've hooked up direct cable to that and get the HDTV) and several video inputs like S video, R G and B inputs...but I don't see where on the TiVo box to hookup any of these?...
When I turn to any Comcast HD channel I get the Black Screen O' Death...or no signal but black.

Any ideas besides going to HD Tivo? I don't need to record HD as I'm happy with the box and Lifetime that I have, but I'd like to view realtime HD programming on other channels that only come through on the digital cable converter.

From your description, I'm assuming you have the following setup:

Cable from wall -> Comcast HD receiver -> TiVo Series 2 -> HD TV

You cannot display a HD signal through a Series 2 TiVo. All Series 2 TiVos, with the exception of the DirecTiVo HR10-250, are Standard Definition (SD) and cannot handle the HD signal that you are trying to feed it from your cable box. You need to either get an SD capable cable box from Comcast to feed your Series 2 TiVo, or get a Series 3 TiVo and cable cards to properly record the HD signal.

In other words, in your present setup, you will never get a picture when you tune to an HD channel.

Also, this question is in the wrong forum. This forum is for Comcast boxes with the TiVo software on them, otherwise known as ComcasTiVos. You'll get more help if you ask this question in the Help forum. Just FYI.

Hope this helps,
