If so, they may be accurately marked as 'copy never' or such, which the TiVo, by law, must follow.

If its happening with most or all programming, then your cable company is incorrectly setting the copyright bit (it happens), and you should complain to them.

They aren't Your movies. They are licensed to you with particular terms, which include that they need stay on the TiVo, and the DRM is enforcing.
