Tivo with Novus in Vancouver

Now that Tivo is selling in Canada, does anyone know if Tivo will work with Novus? I was told by them that it woudn't work with the Digital Channels but would with the Analog ones.

The reason Canadian TiVo HD and S3 users are having issues with digital cable is because unlike the FCC, the CRTC (so far) is not mandating that Canadian cable providers accomodate consumer-provided devices that use CableCard technology in order to receive digital content.

If your cable provider does not use CableCards, that means you are stuck using the set top boxes (STB's) provided by the company itself, or else be content with analog content.

In order to use a TiVo with digital cable in Canada, you would have to purchase a Series 2 unit and have it control a STB using a serial cable (preferred) or an IR blaster.
