My Motorola digital Comcast cable box (model unknown at this time - cause I'm in the office) has a port on the back labeled Serial - but instead of the normal, and expected 9-pin female port it's a stereo jack.

Are there any cables out there that are Stereo out (from the TiVo) to Stereo in (to the cable box) or do I have my connections mixed up?

EDIT: Model DCH 70/2081 (According to the bottom of the box)

Same "wonderment" here. My local (small) cable co. just started providing HD and they brought me a Motorola DCH6416 that has the same "rca" type serial plug in the back , vice the reg. 9 pin one. The manual indicates that it's for "service only". Is there a cable that would work? I went into the diagnostics page of the box and it indicated that that port was "enabled".

It is my understanding those serial ports are no good for TiVo serial control.
One could try a 1/8" stereo patch cable. One might need to modify it to get TX/RX paths correct. That is assuming it is an RS232 serial on that box.
