New and undesired behavior on 2 HR10-250s

I have two unmodified HR10-250 Tivos. I've been using them to record the news every day. The season pass was set to retain only one episode. For 2 years, the Tivos would record each day's new episode, and delete the previous one. Now, both Tivos will not record the new episode unless the old one has been deleted. This seems to happed with all shows. In the past, the only way to ensure the Tivo would not delete something automatically was to tell it the save the show until I say to delete. Now, both Tivos seems to save everything unless it runs out of space.

Has anyone else noticed this?...joe
