A question of OADs

The current season of "JAG" on FXUK (Mon-Fri, 7pm) is number six and, according to Tivo is from 2005. This is obviously way out as this season was first shown in the US in 2001/2002, so why is the OAD so out?

I assume it's something to do with the show pre-dating Tivo, maybe? Just wondered.

Anyone know for sure?

Nope. I know Sky One showed the first few seasons but certainly wasn't showing it a couple of yeards ago.

It won't be to do with the OAD pre-dating tivo, as star trek TOS episodes' OADs are often 1/11/1967 etc...

Maybe whoever wrote the descriptions was just ignorant/wrong.

Does anyone else hate when they just can't be bothered and put a generic description down for every episode of a program? My tivo can't differentiate between episodes then and I get multiple recordings of the same episode over and over as it is repeated over a few days.

All seems the same thing to me. The people doing the descriptions only write good things for the things they're actually interested in. The rest they leave and mess it up. I mean, how many films have you seen rated one or two star on Tivo, yet in the radio times, are much better described and rated (deservingly) with 4 or 5 stars?

I seem to recall that for a while the "Hallmark" channel showed a couple seasons of JAG - although I'm not sure if these were 'first run' or just repeats of seasons originally shown by Sky etc.

Probably repeats, although I don't recall them being on Hallmark at all. That's not to say they weren't; I have a lousy memory ;)

OAD in the guide data given to UK TiVos is normally "tweaked" to match first UK broadcast, so that anyone who sets up a "first run only" season pass doesn't miss episodes which are new to the UK.
