Kind of a weird episode, but five words made it worth it: "No sign of sexual trauma." I spit soda out when he said that the first time.

I deleted this one at the opening credits. I had no interest whatsoever in seeing CSI through the eyes of, er, that guy who is so uninteresting to me I can't remember his name.

"Hey, it's a neck wound!"
:):)
I didn't like the episode at the start when they were just getting silly, but once they discovered Hodges's ulterior motive and the characters were playing it more willingly, I found the explorations mildly entertaining. It certainly wasn't as interesting as a regular episode, but I thought it was okay as a filler.

This show is desperately in need of scab writers.

I liked the episode. A nice diversion from the usual fare. I also like a show that has a self deprecating sense of humor.

I like Hogens. I liked the episode where he and the lab techs got together to pick-apart the evidence from the miniature killer. This felt like an extension of that, to a degree.

Wallace Langham played a much more interesting character as the writer Phil on The Larry Sanders Show, but he's doing quite well playing the unlikeable and smarmy lab tech Hodges. His interaction with Grissom at the end was touching.

Hey, I liked it as a change of pace. The CSI:LV writers are not afraid to try different stuff. Sometimes it works; Sometimes it doesn't. It's a matter of taste.

I agree. A couple good moments, but for the most part... blech.

"Hey, now that's a little passive-aggressive, dontcha think?"
I liked the episode, it was a nice fun episode to end the day with.
I also liked the way the running gags started out very mild, then got more and more over the top as the episode went on, with the CSIs hinting at evidence to the players, and Bobby's reaction to being accused. Oh, and especially how the descriptions of Hodges got more complimentary every time a CSI read back evidence results in the game.

Yeah, that running gag was great.
But the episode really took off at the point when Grissom says "I like games".
I thought it was a nice change of pace. It seemed like the actors were having a lot of fun, acting goofy on purpose.

I didn't like this episode at the beginning, but it just got better and better.

I liked this episode because it had a lot more of Liz Vassey (http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0890808/) than usual.

I wonder if this episode was basically a way to pimp the CSI games.

I thought it was a great episode. LV still likes to have fun occasionally--it's not always the pompous, pretentious super-detective storylines of the other CSI's.

Well, I suppose without the pomposity of Hodges to compare them to they might seem a bit over the top sometimes.

Precisely. I really enjoyed it as it was a nice break from the "monster of the week" variety. ;)

I thought it was interesting that Hodges was the one person that Grissom wanted to spend time with. Maybe because he is the one that didn't offer to try and cheer him up.
Oh, and I saw the shooting self in the head thing right away. I just assumed the gun was in his lap instead of over on the shelf.

That whole episode was "product placement"? I was wondering if such a game actually existed. It appears there are two puzzle games and a PC game available. Just in time for Christmas.

I meant the product placement was "just in time for Christmas" not the games themselves....
So shutup. ;) :p
Despite the naysayers I thought it was a fun, sometimes silly episode and I enjoyed it for those reasons.

I thought it was an ok line the first few utterances, but then by the time they were beating it into the ground with Hodges.. it was just freekin' hilarious IMNSHO.. (I am easily amused)

I loved this episode. Nothing like a funny, sarcastic episode to break up the drama. Plus the bit characters get some attention. The "Sexual Trauma" line was great throughout. A Hodges and Wendy relationship is amusing. The more Hodges works at CSI the more he see's fellow techs go the field agent route.

I"ll have to finish watching it now. I just couldn't get into it.
I was freaked out in the opening scene when the bomb went off on Archie. I went to college with him and he's made a great career for himself. He's been on CSI for a long time and I thought it was a way to kill him off. Glad to see he's still there.
I'll try again tonight.
