It was on the ToDo List this morning.
We just sat down to watch it and "Someone in your household..."
I haven't watched it yet, but I started playing the beginning. Jeff Probst started off the episode by saying that they were going to look at how the final 7 Survivors made it this far into the game. It sounds like it's a "closer look" recap.

There was also mention of 14 (I think) never before seen scenes, but I haven't watched past the first few minutes.

I skipped to the end of the episode and didn't watch any of it, but at the end, there was a quick preview for the next episode which mentioned something about next week that I don't think was in the previews last week:
Amanda switches sides and joins PG

It doesn't start here for over an hour, but IMHO the Survivor 'recaps' often have a HUGE amount of new material, and they even put 'new scene' tags onscreen so you can easily FF through and see only the truly new stuff.

Here are the scenes that were so important that we didn't show them to you the first time. LOL

Yeah they promoted it all day as a new episode but I am sure it is just a recap/clip show.
Bad Mojo survivor.

yup.. was a sad recap/clip show, certainly not "an exciting new thanksgiving day episode!" at least in my book.

Might be nice to watch next week, when there's very new stuff on.
Filler during the strike.

This is not strike filler. They've done this every season (as far as I can recall) on what the network/producers feel may be a week with lower viewership. It amortizes the production costs over an additional episode.

...not to mention extending the season another week, for more advertising revenue!

I might be wrong, but I think bgmeister meant this is a show he can save to watch when there are few new episodes of other shows left due to the strike. Filler for him, not for CBS. :)

Yep - filler for me.
I seldom watch the recap show. This year, I actually might.

I enjoyed some of the new scenes, like when they were imitating each other, and when they got trashed on rice wine. :)

For some reason this show did not record for me. I have a SP, and it was not in my to do list as missed. I started recording it (Manual) at 8:22 and I missed the first 22 minutes.
glad it was just a "Look Back" and not new stuff

well, there was some new stuff...added some aspect to people you did not expect (or that the producers hid from us)...not saying anything since some people might be reading this thread who might consider it spoiler (even though the date in on the thread title)...

I skipped it as I've done in recent seasons. My plan with most reality show recap episodes is to first check out this forum and let others tell me if it was worth watching.
Thanks for being useful as ever, guys.

I watched and enjoyed up to a point. I missed the first three episodes so seeing the high points of them and how they worked into the rest of the season was good for me.

The only information I gained was why they seemed to hate JR. I didn't appreciate how lazy he seemed to be. And I liked how James was actually much more active in the camp. Not just a worker, but a hard ass. Didn't get that impression the first time around.
Like him a lot more now.

That was implied but it is still uncertain wheter it happens

Well, they didn't have the 'new scene' tag.. but it seemed to me like it was *mostly* new content. I even recorded it onto my non-Tivo recorder (in realtime) so I could watch the 'rerun' segments at 1.5x-with-sound.. But I actually ended up watching almost all of it in real time, since it seemed new to me.

I'm about 2/3 of the way through it and I've really enjoyed it so far. I loved the scene where Todd was impersonating everyone, and the scene where Aaron woke everyone up to tell them he didn't want to be the leader anymore, then immediately proceeded to tell everyone what to do. Also, it showed how annoying Jean Robert was and how stupid Leslie was (throwing out their bait). It's definitely not a "must see," but if you've got a few extra minutes, it's definitely worth it.

And what about Dave, criticizing everyone for eating before the challenge, then tanking during said challenge because he didn't eat.

There was an ad for it somewhere leading up to it (Sunday football, maybe?) where they were pushing the fact that there were 14 scenes that had not been aired before. Just can't quite remember where/when those aired.
