This was pretty good, I thought.

"Don't worry, he'll sign your reinstatement papers as soon as his hands stop shaking." :p

I hope they bring back Nicholas Brendon occasionally and continue the love interest between Kevin & Penelope.

Yeah, ain't geek love grand...speaking from personal experience, I must say, since I am a geek, but not a great hacker like those two. I liked it when he said
"I have mad skills"..I was thinking not as mad as hers, buddy!!

One thing seemed odd though...Kevin made a comment about her whole system being Linux based open source... like he was surprised/shocked as much as impressed. So it's OK to install your own everything... OS, Applications, GUI et al., but somehow having one password protected file gets you suspended and placed under investigation.

Besides, whom could do the job as well as Garcia does ?
her new BF ? perhaps they will do a tag team from now on her getting advice from her new found love interest

As she said... "Everything happens for a reason"

:up::up:

I was also glad they didn't linger in the hospital with a will she/won't she make it.

Although she was up and about a little faster than I woud have expected.

Its funny that all that 'hacking' back and forth merely resulted in a command prompt window moving back and forth.

It was a decent episode regardless.

Was eckley crying at the end ?

I did a Google search, which led me to a transcript of Nicholas Brendan's audio blog -
Whether he returns as Penelope's love interest is up in the air until the writer's strike is resolved. He sounds hopeful, but without scripts to write him into, there's no commitment from the show for further work for him.

Just how hard would it have been for the bad guy to shoot Garcia a second time? As a cop he should know that most shooting victims survive one shot. But of course that would have made the episode a whole lot shorter.

Just how hard would it have been for the bad guy to shoot Garcia a second time? Seriously. One in the head for insurance---that's always been my policy...

Well, she did say she held her breath, so he thought she was dead.

Command prompt moving back and forth to me was an homage to the scene in the movie Hackers where the 2 characters were fighting for control of the TV station and moving VHS tapes around.

Yeah i guess I did just say that - GEEK! :)

My former supervisor used to like to walk around saying, "Always put one in the brain!"

Go Xander! It's interesting that they tried to make him a stereotypical computer nerd - glasses, shirt half-untucked, needs a shave and a haircut. I guess they wanted to make him more separate from Dr. Reid and the nerd looks department.

I think what everyone is forgetting is the psychology of the shooter. He was an egotist, he believed he couldn't fail (the other victims in his files were shot only once each).

If his ego allowed him check to see if she were dead, his ego should allow him to shoot her in the head to be certain.

I thought he just went over to her to get her purse and kick in the door to make it look like a robbery, not to check if she was dead.

He was trying to make it looked like a robbery, and that he shot her while running away.

Kind of hard to get in two kill shots on the run.

He was trying to make it looked like a robbery, and that he shot her while running away.OK, but he could have tried to make it look like a robbery where Garcia saw his face and so the robber had to kill her.

This show is amazing and just keeps getting better and better. Some of the story lines are just soooo good, not whacked like some of the CSI ones. Loved this episode, and love Garcia.
