Happy Thanksgiving!

I'm having a problem with my Philips DSR7000. I've got 6.2a, zippered, 120GB HD, Networked.

Scenario: Several days ago, I had this strange problem where my NPL would come up blank. I rebooted it several times and it finally came up after waiting 30 seconds or so. Worked fine for a couple days after that.

I bring it with me to my in-laws vacation home and hook it up. It works for about 12 hours, then starts having the following issues:

1. Live TV will play for a few minutes, then freeze for a few seconds, then play, then freeze, etc. When it starts doing this, the remote becomes useless and I have to reboot by unplugging the unit.
2. Recorded shows are doing the same thing, even ones recorded several weeks ago, before any issues started.
3. I brought a secondary remote from another machine and it didn't work from the beginning (the DTV or List buttons didn't work) I can't imagine that trying to use this other remote actually made this unit go wonky...?

I have tried swapping cables on the tuners, only using one tuner, etc. I'm not using composite or s-video.

I plugged in a non-DVR receiver and it works fine, so it's not the signal, or anything on or blocking the dish.

What could be going on?

Thanks for any thoughts or advice.

Sounds like the hard drive is not working right - time to install a new one.
