Another opinion from someone who hasn't actually used an HR20. I should start writing reviews of products I haven't used - should get a lot of attention.

Didn't bother to read the link... I love my DirecTiVos and will use them until I don't have a SD TV in the house (and after that I'll ensure they get a good home). However, the HR20 is a fine DVR. I now have two, and neither has let me down.
