Started out thinking this was a prequel and the boss was back in boot camp being a drill sergeant. Then it became apparent was a mission.

So why did jonas let mr brown take point? I just always thought jonas was lead man. Was it because mr brown was not directly involved in the playing of the mission?

so any repercussions from the fight at the frat house?

I was hoping mac had a crowbar in the pickup truck and would follow and bash in ryan but i guess not this ep.

If the lady cop was that good, she would have found out who they boys were or at least complained to the CO. Maybe because she was on thin ice didnt want to make waves or else thought they really could help her.

Later, when Mac was telling Ryan "Thanks for covering my back." (or words to that effect) they were in a police holding cell.

They were calling an audible and switching to a reverse psychology play. They weren't getting what they wanted with Jonas yelling. When it was obvious that the CID was going to take everyone down, Jonas called the audible when he touched his nose and the other two nodded in agreement. Brown stepped up said what the CID officer needed to hear, which bought them time. They continued the ruse because it was beneficial to them.

Mac saying "I can't stop thinking about hector" really, really took on a new meaning for me during the last scene.

Why the scene with the girlfriend about who hector told? I think he told Mac, and that puts a new spin on the "..one you love" speech and how he knew to watch the house after he was arrested.

The establishing exterior shot before the cell scene was of a "campus security" station. Of course, campus rent-a-cops don't have the right to detain people (certainly not non-students) in cells, so that was pretty amusing.

That depends on the campus. I went to Texas at Austin, and the security force for the 100 or so acres of campus plus off campus sites were real, sworn police officers, and the office was a real state registered Police station. "The University of Texas Police Department" UTPD.

Same at Iowa State. The ISU Police Department officers are sworn police officers just like any "regular" cop. They have every right to arrest non-students even if they're off campus. Not sure how things are where busyba is.

I really don't like the adultery story line. I think it belittles the men in the The Unit. I realize they're human, and in real life this kind of stuff probably happens, but it still makes me uncomfortable. I don't think Hector told Mac about Tiffy and the Col. If so, I have new respect for Mac, he's showing an amazing amount of control.

In that final scene where Mack was in his truck watching the House, it appeared that Mack was angry, but I don't see really what for. Unless he knows about Mack and Tiffy already, the Colonel didn't do anything except knock on the door, speak to Tiffy and then leave... easily could be just a "checking up on her since she's alone to make sure she's OK" -- some may even consider what he appeared to do to be part of his duty as Mack's commander as well.

And why didn't the Colonel recognize Mac's truck when he drove away? Not very observant for a special ops guy having an affair.

If you look closely, there was something in Mack's ear, like an earpiece. My guess is that he actually heard the conversation that the Colonel and Tiffy had.

See my comments above.. I'm pretty sure Mac knows what Hector knows.

hence all the throw away lines about "Did Hector tell anyone?" and Mac mentioning Hector to the Col. in the jail cell.

+1

In California, The Cal State School Police were actually State Police and could venture off campus an participate in arrests, give parking and speeding tickets off-campus. They are actual sworn Police Officers.

Same at Iowa State. The ISU Police Department officers are sworn police officers just like any "regular" cop....Campus security at the community college I work at are also full, sworn police officers, carrying firearms.
