I want to test the dialup via network on my Tivo. I want to try Tivo directly into my hub, as the call isn't working via a wireless bridge + switch (see previous thread)
Problem is that the TV with scart is downstairs and my network is up stairs.
Can I set the dialup prefix using TivoWeb?
Cheers

Just to say
I currently have Tivo on my network. I have opened a telnet session, but can't ping an external address. I tried 204.176.49.1 (tivo.com) but no response. Do you think it is my router, which is a standard BT Home Hub?

You don't use the dial prefix to set it to network for UK TiVos.
You need to telnet to the TiVo and run nic_config_tivo from the bash prompt, set the default gateway to the address of your router and the daily dall to "network", exit and then reboot.

blindlemon, many thanks for that. The default gateway was wrong, reset that and away it goes.
