This is from dealnews.com (http://dealnews.com):

Dell Home offers the Logitech Harmony 880 Advanced Universal Remote (http://dealnews.com/lw/artclick.html?2,197664,452886) Control, model no. 966187-0403, for $107.99. With free shipping, that's the lowest total price we could find by $51. Sales tax is added where applicable. This remote features a color LCD, optimization for HDTV (e.g., flipping between 16:9 and 4:3) and DVR (e.g., TiVo), recharging station, programmable macros, and USB connectivity for both Macs and PCs.

This is a great price for anyone considering the Harmony 880. It usually sells for $200 or so (BestBuy sells it for $250).

Thought I'd just share this great deal.

UPDATE: The price is now $119.99 with free shipping.

I got a refurbed on for less than $100. I likey very much. Very nice weight, durabable. Only two hits against it: 1) the 30-sec skip forward button and the 8-sec skip back button are reversed. 2) Has a rounded 'feel' to it and number pad is difficult to use by touch...I feel I must look at the number pad when changing channels. These are MINOR compared to the convenience of having a WONDERFUL all-in-one remote!

you can map the buttons to do anything you want, so switch the 30 sec and 8 sec and you are all set :D

I have one of these, have used it for over 2 years now and I love it!

Yes the buttons are 100% custom so you can make them do whatever you want if you think they are reversed.

I have it controlling my
-Samsung Flatscreen
-Tivo
-Sony DVD Player
-Bose Sound System
-AV switch
-Fan (yes a fan!!)

and even thought about using it to control my christmas tree this year for easy on and off! Why? Just cause I can!!! ;)

This remote truly is remarkable and I highly recommend it. There isn't a device yet that I haven't found it will control. And if the remote doesn't recognize a device you point the remote that came with it at the remote, push a few buttons and the remote will learn the commands from your other remote. Cool stuff! I paid $250, if it's avail for around $100 jump at it! I would gladly spend another $250 if I had to!

We've been debating about getting a remote controlled setup for our fireplace (switch now) so we can turn it on and off w/ the remote :D

I used to have a remote air conditioning unit. That was awesome to be able to adjust the temperature while watching TV.

I have the 880. It's a good remote, but the buttons are too close together. Especially the transport controls.
For more info about the 880, here's the Harmony forum on Remote Central

...that's one reason I love the 550...the transport buttons and all the buttons are more "separate"...

For a TiVo - is the 880 still considered the "best" Harmony remote? (As well as controlling other things)

I think any Harmony can do what you want. It's just a matter of preference. I had the 628 before I got the 880. Both control everything I have. The buttons are just laid out differently on each model. I had to replace the 628 because the buttons started to require excessive pressure to work.

Can the 880 (or 628) control two TiVos, emulate the "1/2" switch?

The 880 can, not sure about the 6xx series, but it takes a little more effort to set it up. The software you use to configure the remote has no option to set the remote address so you have to call Logitech Harmony support and get bumped past the first level of tech support. The level 2 (maybe it's 3) can set the remote address in your remote's profile so the next time you update the remote it'll start using that address. You tell them which address to assign to each TiVo according to the name you gave the TiVo in the Harmony setup. It's a pain but it works.

I've asked repeatedly for Logitech to add that option in their software but keep getting told that it's too risky to let users set those addresses.
