From Friday at 10:00 P.M. to Monday at 10:00 A.M., KTLA will be running a marathon of shows they used to have on the air at some point in the past (shows for which they could get the rights to show only one or two episodes, that is :D ).

The Friday, Saturday, and Sunday "Prime News" broadcasts and the Monday morning "KTLA Morning News" broadcasts have different titles during the marathon (supposedly, the newscasts will be a mix of "current" and "retro" stories), so watch out for any season passes you may have.

Sweet! In for Charles In Charge, Doogie, Emergency!, CHiPS, 21 Jump Street, Hitchcock, Stooges, What's Happening?, Cheers, Happy Days, Brady Bunch, Beaver, Gilligan. Hopefully we will get some old school footage of KTLA personalities we grew up with...Hal Fishman, Larry McCormick, and Tom Hatten.

What's the word Officer Byrd?

I was hoping the hour long Popeye session on Sat morn might also feature Tom Hatten and maybe a Jay Ward toon or two. But I doubt it... :(

Nice to see some Little Rascals on the air again (for however a brief moment).

Supposedly, the two 15-minute shows at 4:30 and 4:45 A.M. Monday that are labeled with a generic "KTLA 60th Anniversary" title are actually episodes of "Time for Beany."

I'm not too surprised they don't have any on (there might not be any tapes available, or perhaps the rights would be too hard to get), but I wish there were a couple of game shows as part of the marathon -- in the '60s and '70s, KTLA had a few local game shows that ended up going into national syndication. I think the most famous was "Liars' Club."

"Time for Beany" would make sense, since they show a clip from that in the promos they're running. I wonder why its not simply listed as such?

Skimming through their lineup, it looks a lot like KDOC's every day lineup. ;)
