I'm pleasantly surprised it lived up to the hype. I could have done without the Ted and Robin revival and re-break up but overall a great episode. I'll be singing the slap song for at least a few days.

Seriously, who didn't think Ted & Robin would sleep together again at some point? Everybody sleeps with their exes sometimes. You get to have sex, and you don't even have to add another +1 to your total. :)

I forget now exactly how this was done, but he's holding back some of the story from them.

I seem to remember an episode where the narrator said something like "This is what I told my kids happened...." <insert some Mary Poppins-type scene> , "but this is what REALLY happened." <insert totally inappropriate for children scene>

I laughed pretty hard when NPH was Borat in one of the flashbacks.

Thought the same thing... But then again, it is Ted telling this story to his kids, so in his mind, he is still "Old Guy"

Thought the same thing... But then again, it is Ted telling this story to his kids, so in his mind, he is still "Old Guy"

Plus the original guy was just a guess as Ted only saw the old dude. When he started the story he said something along the lines of "he probably looked something like this" and then the younger dude walks in. So even that guy probably wasn't what the other three saw.

Although, it would have been fun for them to do that change up.
