I posted this in another thread, but it wasn't the main topic, and liked to see responses for this specific question.

The question is:

What is the best use of a secondary OTA channel that you have seen?

RDU (Raleigh/Durham) has a new station called RTN.
I use the term "new" loosely, our 50.2 has been broadcasting for a while.

This is our FOX station, but they decided to do something cool with it, and throw some retro tv on it.

Off Beat Cinema ( Son of Godzilla is airing soon I believe in this slot , aka, a one time movie showing)

That's a pretty good use of the secondary feed, IMHO.

We used to have the "The Tube" but they stopped that one. I liked that one as well.

Anybody else got a cool secondary feed?

RTN is sold to existing markets specifically with the idea of broadcasting it on a secondary digital station to allow the existing station a way to easily and quickly offer a whole bunch of addition (and cheap) programming.

Sometimes - like here in Buffalo - it's broadcast on an actual, regular station. But here, even though it's on WNGS (see the Wiki entry) it's ALSO on our ABC affiliates' secondary digital station.

And in other weird Buffalo news, I had no idea that "Off Beat Cinema" aired outside of this market (where it's filmed, and has been on for years).

Ok. Yeah, I didn't realize RTN was a country wide thing, but it makes alot of sense.

As I mentioned in the previous thread - I would love if RTN would take over the old Tube spot in Philly that is now gone. Maybe it is because I have not seen Love American Style in 30 years. Who knew it would make a comeback? How fortunate you are in Buffalo and Raleigh to enjoy great classicTV!

I had mentioned last night that I would Season Pass The Untouchables - Hogan's Heroes and Rawhide the day RTN would sign on. Those are my picks as well as Get Smart?

Looking at the RTN programming what classic shows would you season pass on your Tivo?

I wouldnt be surprised if RTN ends up in Philly in the first 6 mos of 2008. I have an RSS feed from sitcomsonline.com's news blog and they have been announcing carrying the RTN city expansion announcements for a while. I'm seeing at least one city/metro area a week announced. A month or so ago they announced Pittsburgh, last week they announced Harrisburg/Lancaster/York/Lebanon (my area) (baltimore and a few others via allbritton owned sister stations) so just keep an eye out. The Harrisburg broadcast isnt supposed to start until April 08
