I am definitely purchasing a tivo hd in the next couple of days! I just was wondering is Amazon's price the best price? $254.49 with free 2 day shipping? I currently have a Series 2 and am switching from Dish to HD Cable. Is Amazon's price the best? does anyone know any coupon codes for Amazon or other sites?

Amazon has the best prices I've seen. I'm shopping for a Series 3,but the discounts off list seem to be about the same at Amazon. Other internet sites have been higher.

Amazon occasionally has $249 pricing as well. I added it to my shopping cart one morning at $254, then went to work and when I logged into Amazon again (this was ~10 minutes after I had added it) it came up as $249 and I bought it.

I got mine at Amazon. I also had some Amazon GC's, so it was even less out of pocket. After I bought it, they price adjusted it for me twice in the first 30 days and I saved an additional $20 or so after the fact.

For anyone unaware, there is a site called PriceProtectr (http://www.priceprotectr.com) where you can put in your purchase item and price, and it will monitor Amazon.com (it works for 63 other sites too) and tell you if the price drops so that you can get the refund you are entitled to!
