I have a HDVR2 that I set up some season passes and wishlist on. Now I want to get rid of them and they will not cancel or delete. Has anyone else had this problem? Any suggestions?

Another one in the bedroom is updating in the mornings about every other week. The problem is we like to have the news on as we get ready to got work. Can we cancel the update or can we get it to update at another time?

Reboot it on question #1.

Unplug it on question #2. Phone line connection completely unnecessary on DTivo units,.

If you unplug the phone line you will get nag messages... either delete those every week or, after awhile, never go to the message screen, as that will lock the unit when the message area gets full

The best way to do this is setup a manual recording by time and channel for a time about 30 minutes before you get up.

If you are talking about the service data download, you can simply change the channel and after a nag screen asks if you really want to change the channel, the DTivo will do so. It will attempt the download at a later time.
