Roxio has posted an update to Toast to address Tivo 9.2 and TTG problems among other things. I just started testing on my first transfer.

Seems to be working -- HD content plays back properly now. Whoo hoo!

Can't attest to whether it burns to DVD correctly, because I don't do that.

Is there a difference between Roxio Toast and the new VideoReDo TV Suite? I'm looking to move movies from my TiVo to PC using TTG then burn to DVD. Is one faster than the other? Do both automatically eliminate commercials? Thanks for any opinions and advice.

The Toast upgrade seems to work. Prior to this I could only transfer parts of shows before Tivo transfer would quit. Now I'm getting whole shows.

Toast does not automatically delete commercials.

TRD does not re-encode if it doesn't have to. I can burn a DVD from Tivo shows in under 30 min. Toast by default re-encodes, and it takes hours. It does seem to have an option to not re-encode, but I haven't spent enough time to play with it to see if it works. Last time I tried it failed, but don't know if it's was 9.1/9.2 related since it was in that time frame. In any case, TRD+ was very easy to use from the get go, plus on my new quad CPU PC it's blazing fast, so Toast has lost out already.

Sorry, what's TRD?
thanksI assume he meant VideoRedo.

VideoRedo is for Windows and Toast is for OSX. So they are not directly comparable.
