View Full Version : Series 3 can't count

When I look at a Season Pass on my Series 3, it shows the number of upcoming episodes. Then I go look at the list of episodes and the list has fewer episodes than the count.

The difference always seems to be 50%. If there are 4 upcoming episodes, the count on the Season Pass screen will be 6.

Now it appears to do this when the list contain both regular SD and HD channels. I have both the SD channels from cable and the HD OTA channels defined. If I look at the Season Pass for 60 Minutes, it says there are 6 upcoming episodes. But the list contain 2 HD and 2 SD upcoming shows.

I have 9.2a. I didn't see this with 9.1, but then again, I wasn't looking for it.

Does this happen to anyone else?

I've never seen that problem. The count always seems to match for me.

I believe this is normal. The "upcoming episodes" list includes all channels, but the season pass only records from the one channel you picked.

If you have a season pass for a show that's already in syndication (e.g. Scrubs), this is very obvious (my season pass says 96 upcoming episodes for this show, although it's only going to record 2).

The list of episodes (4) is the COMPLETE list, including the ones to be recorded (2) and the ones NOT to be recorded (2). But the count on the previous screen is 6.

Are you sure there aren't any other episodes showing on some another channel?

I noticed that my TiVO seems to includes from channels I've removed from my Settings -> Channel List in that count. For example, I removed the SD versions of channels from my Channels List and they are still shown in the episode count. That is clearly a bug.

There are NO other episodes.

The happens to Survivor: China, 60 Minutes, CBS Evening News,The Amazing Race 12, Grey's Anatomy, Private Practice, Kid Nation, Back to You, .....

ALL of these are first run shows NOT showing on other channels (except Grey's). Since it shows the same episode on the SD and the HD channel, it looks like it is counting the HD show twice.

Now the display of a show that is ONLY on an SD channel has an accurate count.
