I just bought a TivoHD to replace an old 40-hour Series 2. My 40-hour Series 2 was subscribed at the monthly $6.95 MSD rate (I have another Series 2 with lifetime service). Last night, I went online and used the "Change Tivo Service Number" function to change the service number from my old Series 2 to my new TivoHD. The website accepted the change and now shows my TivoHD as an account in good standing under its correct service number. Unfortunately, I haven't been able to set up the new TivoHD box yet, so I can't yet tell if it will actually register as a proper account when it calls in to Tivo.
So, my questions are:
(1) Was that all I had to do?
(2) Is my new TivoHD now subscribed at the same $6.95 MSD rate that I had been previously paying for my 40-hour Series 2?
