We have never gotten this message and are not sure what to do -- nothing here has changed... our service renewal is Dec 1st...I have a question regarding that as well -- will we get a renewal notice?

So the message says:

The TiVo DVR has only 3 days left of program information left.
After that, no programs will be recorded...the DVR must connect successfully to the TiVo service.
I do not understand what this even means -- it records every day...

It means that the tivo has not been able to contact home base to obtain programming information for a week and a half. A tivo must be connected to a phone line or the internet to work. Is yours? Go to System Setup -> Settings -> Phone and Network. Does it say the "Last Status" is "Failed" or something?
