Series 1 Tivo. Sorry if this has been posted before, but I could not find it.
I have had modem problems for a few years now. I could not keep tivo connected to walljack, because it tried to answer the phone when someone called. I tried the Tivo Airnet card, but the drivers were causing the tivo to not change channels and think it was. So I have a $70 paper weight.
Then we got vonage and for some reason I had minimal problems with the modem at all and it was always connected. We moved and switched to Comcrap Digital Voice and Tivo Would not finish a Daily Call. It would say Call interupted within a few minutes of starting the download (and I have to wait till it says dialing to plug in the modem or the phone thinks its getting used even when tivo isnt trying to use it).
Last ditch effort to save me keeping this tivo with lifetime sub. I followed instructions from http://www.tivohelp.com/archive/tivohelp.swiki.net/34.html. When I connect modem to Tivo and try to make call it does not even connect to the phone line (if I pick up phone I hear dial tone), it just stays dialing (during test call) and stays there unless I disconnect modem from tivo. I did notice that 4 lights light up when connected to tivo RD, SD, TR and CS. I read in one of the other posts only 2 were supposed to light up. I have tried doing everything a few times now and have not had any success in changing the problem.
Any suggestions would be appriciated.
