If I read the offer right, it ended (that is, the box had to be purchased by) Oct. 27, 2007, to qualify for the $150 rebate. Or is there another coupon around somewhere?

Even without it, though, one ends up getting the DT box for free and lifetime TIVO (if it's your second box) for $399.

edit: Just found current rebate offers, including $200 off a HD TIVO. Now the question would be, could these be used with the TIVO $399 offer as well. Would be sweet if they could . . . .

I thought that $200 rebate was only on the Series 3 not the HD model. Where did you see this?

Sorry, I spoke too loosely--I meant the Series 3 HD. At Amazon.com and weakknees.com. My apologies.

Ah ok. Since the Series 3 rebate is on the unit, it seems that it would qualify whether you're buying lifetime or another service plan. Perhaps someone in the Tivo Pricing thread would know for sure.

The Amazon add was very misleading. You had to buy the gift card for an additional $100 when I tried to buy one.

Actually, when I tried it, I believe that the gift card showed up in my shopping cart at $0 and the player at $99. But perhaps this was too good a deal (or TIVO read this thread): the offer appears now to be gone . . . .

The $99 S2 DT with $100 gift card shouldn't be eligible for the TiVo rebate (as the second post in this thread points out).

I ordered this just last week, but it is gone as of today. AMZN also shows the S2DT out of stock, so I'm not certain if it is just defaulting back to "no bundle" pricing until back in stock, or if the offer is done for good.

I ordered one of the Amazon bundles last week also. Just arrived today. My approach is a bit more convoluted. I also bought a Series 2 (non DT) last week at Radio Shack for $50 (they had them on clearance). That one is eligible for a $170 rebate. I will use the $100 Gift card from Amazon to prepay my first year on the S2, submit the rebate for $170 and then once I get the rebate (in 10-12 weeks), swap in the S2DT and sell the S2 on eBay.

The offer was available yesterday even though the DT was out of stock. Also, the bundling was Amazon's, not TIVO's, and so it still could be that this is not considered to be a "dual offer."
