can tivo service be transferred

I got 2 tivo ( series 2) with subscription plans. Can I keep 1 and sell the other box with subscription to someone or is it against service agreement. I would prepay service agreement for 1 year for rebate purposes but doesn't really need 2 tivo. just wondering whether I can get some $ instead of the other TIVO just sitting at home.

even is the service is not transferable can i just give the tivo to my friend so he can use it and pay for his own subscription?

Officially, it is against your service agreement to sell a TiVo with a monthly or prepay subscription. The only valid sale is either unsubbed or Product Lifetime. It is up to you to decide what to do though.
