View Full Version : One thing I don't like about the new forum.......

To Jeff and the Capable Team,

The look of the new forum is great and you guys have done a good job. One item about the new look really bothers me. Maybe it is my aging eyes, but I loved seeing the little black dot for the threads I have posted in.

The new icon, sure, it looks like a "reply" icon you might have with mail, but I find it harder to see it when quickly scrolling looking for threads I have posted in.

Is there a way to add that back in?

There's a thread in the Forum Ops area for stuff like this, that is where they are reading complains/suggestions.

"Black dot"? I thought it was red. To me it was like the "recording" icon on the Tivo.

So that's what people were complaining about when they said "no more dots"... I couldn't figure it out.

Gee - only 5 years on the forum, and I never knew there WERE dots. I wish I had!

It looks like the dots are back! I was going crazy the last few days trying to skim for threads I'd posted in. Today I noticed the black dots are back! Yaay!

Thanks for the update. I can see the dots so much quicker and easier than the white arrows.

I am happy that these new owners actually listen and respond, I agree dots are much better too. It was fixed fast! I see in the new TCF membership ads they are even OK'ing intelligent duscussion of all issues and I think when they see that works there they can go on to get rid of moderators and simply have a computer not post any vulgar words or whatever, and let people discuss the stock market and other things the last bad owner had silly fits about for no reason. I also notice technically the posts come up faster and look cleaner now, good job so far on everything.
