I have two hr10-250's. One of them I upgraded when new and have the .bak file. Since it's acting up I thought I would restore the original on a new drive. I can't use mfslive since originally I used mfstools. When I try and boot from the cd I get an error. Didn't right it down but it seems as though the mfstools has issues with something. This leads me to my question.

Since I have another HR10-250 could I just pull it's hard drive out and back it up using mfslive then restore it to the other tivo's drive or would there be some kind of conflict doing this. Thanks.

You can use mfslive with the image from mfstools.

It would likely be better to copy the other drive though, as it would have the current version. You would need to to a C&DE to marry the drive to the mainboard.
