Tivo Desktop Plus 2.5.1 .divx and .xdvi files not seen on S3

I have successfully set up TiVo Desktop 2.5.1 Plus on Windows 2003 Server. .tivo and .mgp files are shown in both the TiVo desktop on the PC and on the S3's now playing list. But .avi files coded as .dvix or .xdvi only show in the TiVo desktop, not the S3.

I have Quicktime and DirectX 9.2c installed and TiVo Desktop seems to recognize that fact.

Thoughts, suggestions, and debugging approaches would be appreciated.

You need to purchase Tivo Desktop Plus.

I stumbled on this in a different way. I had a folder full of movie files, but none of them were transfers from the Tivo. My PC name would not show up under the Now Playing list. I then transferred a video from the Tivo to my PC, and copied it to my shared movie folder. That caused my computer to be displayed under Now Playing, but only that file from the Tivo showed up. I bought Desktop Plus, and that allowed me to view/transfer all of the other files types.

I called TiVo technical support this morning. After some questions and research, they told me to uninstall and reinstall Desktop Plus on the PC. Ya, right. That sounded like the usual "Get off my phone line." nonsense.

But I did it and it worked. All the video files appear on the desktop and the S3.
