I have a TiVo HD and with the recent activation of TivoToGo have tried to download some of my recorded shows. I can only COMPLETELY download a couple of them - most will only download about 10-30 Meg of the multi-Gig files with a "download complete" message. There doesn't seem to be rhyme or reason as to which will fully transfer, although it is only about 10% of the ones tried.
System software - (9.1.L5-01-2-652)
Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

I have used Tivo Desktop and access through my browser. Both work to download from my other TiVo, a series 2.

Need more info about how your network is setup.
I had a similar problem transferring recordings TiVo to TiVo replacing the router seems to of solved it.
Long ago I had problems transferring files to the PC and that turned out to be the Ethernet card in the PC however later I found there were new drivers for the old card that may of fixed the problem.

I'm seeing similar problems. I tried three recordings and two always fail at the same point 33.31mb out ot 1.x gig and 256.xxmb out of 1.x gig. I am using a wired 10/100 network between the W-XP desktop and my S2-DT. I'll try some of off my S3 later and see how they work.
There was an old thread about transfers stopping prematurely but that was supposed to be fixed back in 8.x.

I have my PC connected to the network via ethernet (motherboard gigabit, latest drivers) and the Tivo HD wireless using the Tivo Wireless dongle.
Same setup on my Series 2 with no problems.

I'm afraid I have to jump on the "me too" bandwagon. I have a series3 with several recordings. Most of them transfer just fine but a few specific recordings will not transfer and always stop after a few megs were downloaded. I don't believe this is an issue with the network or the tools I'm using to download the shows because I see the same behavior if I'm wired or wireless, using Roxio Toast on the mac, TivoDesktop on the PC, or the simple browser based transfer.
Since it seems to be related to the show I'm trying to download, I'm guessing the issue is related to some error that the TiVo is encountering when it's converting it's internal format to the .tivo.
Be nice if I knew what the problem was so I could fix it if it were on my end or hope for a fix from TiVo if it were on their end...

I'm having the same problem also-- Series 3 (just updated to 9.2a yesterday) and TiVo Desktop (version shows 2.5.275381) on a couple of PC's. The Series 3 is wired ethernet to a DLink DI-624; both PC's use wireless G connections (and haven't had problems using the previous verison of TiVo Desktop pulling files off a Series 2).
Most of the programs I've tried to transfer have been HD recordings and all the failed transfers stop (with no indications of any problem) at the same point each time the transfer is attempted-- some after less than 100MB, some make it to several hundred. Oddly enough the one HD recording that did transfer completely (a 5.1GB ABC HD 61 minute recording) only shows an 18:01 timeline in Windows Media Player 11 on my Vista machine, though the entire file seems to play OK (I just can't seek past the 18 minute mark). Opening the same file in VideoRedo shows it to be a complete 1H 1M in length.

 I have exact problem just about two months ago. To cut the long story short, I find that (1) Most recordings (CNBC) got only a portion transferred; while some (Channel 4 & others) always at 100% without problem (2) Exact same results - after trying 3 different routers; wirless vs wired; updated TiVo; un and reinstalled Desktop 2.5 (3) For tesing purpose, I re-transferred an old recording (Sep 12) which I got 100% (1.6 GB) originally back in September, I only got a portion of it this time (1.0 GB). I called Support 6 times - no solution !!! HELP is badly needed !!!

Are yours failing at the same spot every time? Mine do.

I never put in a trouble ticket because I usually try to resolve things myself here first. Maybe we should all put in help-desk calls simultaneously to get their attention.
I'm having another problem where Desktop running on my media center causes memory leaks in ehrecvr.exe. Others are having that problem as well but we never put in tickets for that either.

Yes, I failed at exact same spot everytime for those bad files.
When I download using Tivo Desktop I get bad files that play up to 40 seconds. I found that disabling Norton Internet Security fixed the problem. No amount of configuring NIS would do, completely disabling it was necessary.
When I download via the web interface the files are good and play to the end...even with NIS turned back on.

I have a similar problem here. All HD files recorded from all my HD channels transfer fine from my S3(9.2a) to my PC via TTG and the Desktop(2.5.1), EXCEPT those from NBC-HD.
There's something in those streams that TTG doesn't like, because the whole programs are recorded fine, and can be played fine, they just won't transfer. I can only get a small 1, 2, or 3 MB, then it stops... in exactly the same place for each episode.
Initially, I suspected it might have something to do with the switcher at my local station when it transitioned from SD commercials before a show into HD. But I eliminated that possibility by time-segment recording a chunk in the middle, and only a short piece of that transferred as well.
So basically, I'm SOL on NBC programming at this time.
- Tim
P.S. I never watch SD, but I should try the SD feed of the same NBC affiliate to see what happens there.

Did anyone ever figure out a fix for this because I'm having the same problem now? Tivo HD programs only transfer partial and it shows even less on Windows Media Player 11 so that if I ff to the end, there's still more to play (but not the whole thing) but I can't jump right to it.
