If I try to transfer a video back to the Tivo using Galleon it stop and the tivo gives an error. If I use the tivo desktop it works fine. all files are mpg2 or .tivo files.. only about 51 minutes of the video transfer (2.7GB) then it stops and deletes the file...

I've had this problem before - the problem was that there was a portion of the file that was either corrupted/damaged or pixelated during the original transfer to the computer. When i watched the file after transferring it using TD it actually locked up at the point where Galleon would have problems and then delete it. I ended up having to run my file through VLC re-encoding it completely in order to see the last 15min of the show on the computer. Since then I've had the problem a few more times. Those files i ended up burning to a dvd as a straight mpeg2 file and played on my phillips DVD player. had to fast forward thru a few min to get past that error but it worked

Errors in the video payload should not cause problems with a transfer, but in any case, I don't think this is the problem. I and others have reported that we cannot transfer any large files back to the TiVo using Galleon. I haven't been able to do extensive testing, but it looks like it breaks right at 2.0G. Several files I have tried all break right about at that point. They transfer fine using TiVo Desktop. So far I haven't been able to get any file over 2.0G to transfer fully.

Some (like the OP) have reported something like 2.7G, and I cannot dispute this directly, but I suspect it may actually be 2.0G. 2.0G is 2,147,483,648 bytes.
