I can't seem to get either of my macs to see my TivoHD. Both Macs are running 10.4.9, and connected to a netgear wireless router. The intel iMac, and the TivoHD are both connected via ethernet, and the MacBookPro is wireless. I can't see the Tivo via a browser, by typing the Tivos ip address.., or via bonjour with Safari, or with Bonjour Browser. Is there some setting on the Tivo I need to enable so it can be seen by the outside world? The Tivo does update over the home network, so I know it can phone home. I have also tried Tivo Decode Manager, but it can not connect to the Tivo HD either. Any simple fix to this?

Thanks,
Golfdogger

Have you tried rebooting the Tivo HD?

Yeah, definitely the first thing to try is rebooting all your hardware (Macs, TiVo, router, etc.). My set up with a Mac and a TiVo HD was really easy so you should be able to get it eventually. Only difference is I have a Linksys router. Do you have any security on your router that wouldn't allow the TiVo and Mac to communicate?

I just figured it out! I forgot that I had put an old asante router in my entertainment center to hook up an old tivo series 2 along with the HD. Since I don't use the series 2 anymore I only need one ethernet connection, removed the asante router, sent the ethernet cable straight to the TivoHD, and presto! It works. Sorry you all had to waste your time reading and responding to my stupidness.
