This is silly.
So we have a ComcasTiVo forum... Is there going to be a whole seperate forum for each Cable DVR that runs tivo software??
Cox already has a partnership with TiVo, who knows what other cable companies might come on board....
Why not:
Cable DVR Powered by TiVo
or
Motorola DVR power by TiVo

Same as why we have a DirectTV forum, who is to say that the Cox implementation will be the same as Comcast's?

Alternatively, if there is an alternate implementation, and it becomes obvious that the two are substantially identical, then this forum can be renamed.

Well you can't use the brand Motorola in the title.
The Tivo software is also being ported to Pace, Panasonic, and Scientific Atlanta DVR's.

It will be on the same hardware, so it should be the the same. The only thing different is the billing systems.

Well a "Cable DVR powered by TiVo" will only be a point of confusion for those thinking "CableCARD" and meaning "Series3" or "TiVoHD" units.
I'm sure once it's available from a cable company other than Comcast the forum will get renamed appropriately.

I don't agree with it saying "HD" in the forum title. Because Comcast is offering HD and SD DVR's with TiVo software.

I never heard that before; the talk always was just of the HD models of the Motorola and then Scientific Atlanta DVR's.

What would be confusing? The cablecards are also in some cable provided boxes thanks to the FCC.

Plus now I'm angry that I have to modify my TCF Firefox Plug in...
