My TiVo died after this latest update. I am assuming the exisitng drive has a bad sector. The TiVo was stuck on the "almost there" screen and would not finish the re-boot. I tried cycling many times and gave up.
Tivo offered to sell me a replacement for $149.00 and allow me to transfer my lifetime subsription. That didn't seem like a very good deal.
After a bit of research on this site, I contacted TivoRevoltion. I purchased a 250GB upgrade drive for $114.99 from them.
I was concerned that this would be difficult to install, and could not have been more wrong. I installed the drive in less than 15 minutes and had my Tivo up and running in less than 2 hours. It took some time for the updates to install.
My "new" Tivo is working great and I have hundreds of storage.
