tivos dont see programs on other tivos

i have the newest updates on my tivo series 3(i have two of them). when i go to multi room viewing and click on the other tivo units, it says there are no recorded programs. how do i get it to see the recorded programs.

Both tivos have the latest software? The new updates 9.1/9.2 are not backwards compatible with 8.x. for MRV.

I've seen it happen this week with my S3 not being seen by the TivoHD or S2, a reboot of the cranky S3 solved it for me.

wow - you guys are great! I was just about to post the same problem until the forum "suggestor" pointed me to here and viola! I rebooted my affected tivo and now it can be seen by all of my other tivos!

Hmmm. I just bought a new HD XL and for some reason all my other Tivos (3 Series 2s and 1 Series 3) show up in Now Playing but when I open any of them I am told that they don't have anything recorded. When I go to Now Playing on my Series 3 I am able to see my new HD XL (and all my other Tivos), but on my Series 3 I can see the recordings on every Tivo except my new HD XL.

The Series 3 has software version 11 while the HD XL has version 9.4.

I have 3 Tivo HD units. My original one which is around 1 year old running the Fall 2008 update version 11.0 and two new Tivo HD units running the same software.

My new tivo's can see the original one but when I click on that unit is says no problems available ???

I will try rebooting the original Tivo HD since it has not been rebooted in a long time.
