Why won't some programs transfer?

Some programs on my TiVo Series3 show up in TiVo Transfer with a do-not-transfer icon that consists of a red circle with a red diagonal slash http://clf.uua.org/kidtalk/2007/05/boycott.gif and can't be transferred.

I just got the ability to use TiVoToGo on my Mac with the Series3. But a huge number of the programs on the TiVo have the do-not-transfer icon showing up in TiVo Transfer. Some of these are episodes from TV series where other episodes from the same series transfer OK. They have green circle icons.

Why is this happening? What can I do about it?

same here in regards to TTG unplugged

the lil red thingie you refer to means you do not have access to that file, being it is copyrighted by the author...
It's ok for us to store a copy of certain programing to our Tivo, yet is a no no to transfer this file why?
As long as the file remains on the Tivo the chances are slim it woyld be copied..

The concern is that once that file is transfered to a PC then it might be copied..

In doing so the studios aren't compensated for that

Would save us all alotta grief if we knew this information before hand no?
