Question about lifetime subscription, second box, and Series 3

Hi all,

My sister and I both have Series 2 boxes with lifetime subscription. My sister was thinking of buying a TiVo HD and using the lifetime transfer, however Amazon is having a big sale on Series 3 (like, $360 after a $200 rebate), and I was wondering. I was reading on the lifetime transfer thread and I thought I read something about adding a second box to the account for something like six dollars a month? Was I reading correctly?

I have a lifetime Series 2 and bought a TivoHD and pay only $6.95 or whatever a month for it. When you login to the Tivo website and establish that you have another lifetime unit and then register your new TivoHD, all the prices displayed drop. I had to agree to a 3 year commitment though.

It is a monthly charge.
