I have my Glo remote programmed to power my AV receiver on/off with the TV normally. However, I've been contemplating using the learning function of the Glo remote to control the input of my AV receiver as well.
For example, I would switch the remote over to DVR2, and then program all of the number buttons and map them to the different inputs of the AV receiver by using the learning mode.
So number 1 would be = Video 1, number 2 = Video 2... etc. The question is, I don't know if I could "hack" the remote this way, basically by using DVR2 of the remote as a AV remote rather than another Tivo remote. Retaining all of the normal Tivo controls by changing it back into DVR1 mode.
Has anyone tried this? If this doesn't work, how do I reset the Glo remote back to its original mode?
