I have my S3 connected to my plasma by HDMI. Occasionally, when flipping through channels, I completely lose sound when tuning to a digital channel.

I can regain audio two ways... either switch the S3 to an analog channel, then back to the digital channel... or switch inputs on my plasma, then back to the HDMI input with the S3. When I contacted Panasonic customer service (my plasma brand), they insisted it had to be a Tivo problem because I'm not having trouble with my other HDMI devices.

I was hoping the new software would correct this problem, but, as of 9.2.J, it hasn't been fixed.

Anyone else having this problem? Are Tivo techs aware of it? Any plans to fix?

If your playing thru your plasmas speakers, set the Tivo's Audio option for Dolby Digital to PCM from DD 5.1. Hopefully that will correct it. It sounds as if the Tivo is no longer recognizing the feedback from the Panny to send it PCM, not DD 5.1.
