NEW problem
Ok, Now that I got it going I noticed that when I change the channel on the DTV box it also changed whats being recorded on the Tivo? Is there any way around this?? Also the the Tivo Guide is wrong, but I will wait to see if that fixes itself with future programming downloads.

Any help would greatly be appreciated.

Of course! Where do you think the tivo is getting its input signal from? Stop using your satellite remote. Your satellite receiver is now a slave to the tivo.

Also the the Tivo Guide is wrong, but I will wait to see if that fixes itself with future programming downloads.

How wrong is it? Is it the completely wrong lineup? Rerun Guided Setup. If you bought this tivo used, it's showing you the lineup from the previous owner. You have to tell it what satellite system you're using and where you live. Run Guided Setup.

From the previous thread, it seems he forgot to put the DirecTV receiver's remote in a drawer. :)
