tivo desktop now playing list help

ok, I have files in the My TiVo Recordings folder on my pc for the tivo desktop -but- tivo desktop is not seeing them. Its directed to use that folder, and I even transfered files from my tivo to my pc using tivo desktop but they vanish, meaning that they appear in the folder but does not appear in the desktop now playing list. Please point me in the right direction. I hope its something simple that I'm overlooking.

I would pause the server, shut down tivo desktop and then restart the application, resume the server. Not exactly sure why this worked for me, but sometimes the folder doesn't show up or it needs to be repopulated, and that helps.

pause, restarted, and resumed....no luck, but on a around about way I found away around this problem. I read somewhere that file did not have to be in the folder, that a shortcut file could be in that folder directing it to the file. That works but its a pain in the butt, transfer, move to different folder, then create a shortcut in the My TiVo Recordings folder. All advise is greatly appreciated!

unistalled, used a tivo cleaner then reinstalled with spysweeper and norton paused\off and now desktop sees the files in folder and tivo sees the desktop. dunno what happened :confused: or if norton and spysweeper were the problem- they popup with all blocked problems for and ok to block- but it all works now. thanks for the help and i hope this helps someone else. :up:
