Wow, was that her? I always thought she was hot. While watching SG:A, I never made the connection. Now I will have go back to my Tivo and "undelete" it.

Didn't even recognize her. Of course, I don't watch commercials if I can help it. Especially car commercials.
Do you think this the last we've seen of this group of humans?

You asked that rhetorically, right?

What was Sheppard thinking? When does making out with the evil alien babe ever not result in a ray gun in the ribs.
I laughed when the Wraith dude just walked away when Sheppard said he wouldn't shoot him. Come on! You're an evil, evil, evil, life force sucking vampire. You don't just walk away and go home. You try some other sneaky, nefarious plan to kill Sheppard. I wish the Jem Hadar would invade the Pegasus galaxy. They'd kick the crap out of the Wraith in a month.

No, she's signed on for a few more episodes.

I am starting to get a little annoyed. Everytime they find some kick ass Atlantean Battle Cruiser or something that would help IMMENSELY, they lose it somehow.
How hard should it have been for Sheppard to take out 3 people on a huge ship that only he could make work? - Especially when he took out the Wraith on board so easily. He should have shoved them out an airlock or thrown them in a cell like he ended up in 3 times over.

When Shepherd was talking about her people's long term prospects, it should have occurred to both of them that "sharing genetic material" is a great long term solution. If the women from her people mated with the men on Atlantis who have the ancient gene, then the next generation would be better off.

I think it's for two reasons.
1. It would make life much easier to have an atlantian battle cruiser to fight people with
2. Sheppard probably knew they being an ally would benefit them much more in the long run than just getting a ship.
Plus I think he felt for her knowing that people would die if they didn't get a new ship...

2. Sheppard probably knew they being an ally would benefit them much more in the long run than just getting a ship.Especially considering Earth's track record with maintaining the Atlantian ships in their care... :)

This is a throwback to the SG1 days.. macgyver was always lamenting the loss of the Goal'uld mothership that they JUST got.
I don't think they ever kept one more then an episode.

I don't think they ever kept one more then an episode.Good point; they've been "Gilligan"-ing ever since the original show. It's just more blatant and consistent on Atlantis. If Atlantis/Earth ever got a decent powerbase, the show would turn into another Star-Wars or BSG -type show. They'd rather keep the Star-Trek model of small teams on away missions, so they have to stay weak in terms of large-scale weaponry.

It's just as well. The monthly parking charges for those things are a b*tch. Do you have any idea how much the Egyptian government charges for the use of their pyramids?!?

He's actually pretty bright. Wasn't there some sort of line about Mensa back in the first season? Like he could have joined but didn't? I seem to recall Rodney getting all uptight about it.

Plus, that would have made for a more interesting episode.

Ah, how nice it is to see a guest star on this show who isn't Canadian! :)
I really enjoyed Jill Wagner in this episode and look forward to seeing more of her on the show. I loved the chemistry between her and Sheppard.

When she was announced, they said she was going to be in X number of episodes...I can't remember the exact number, but it was around 2/3 IIRC.

Has this issue been discussed on atlantis? Why arent there any kids nor pregnant women in the city anyway? And I hate when kissing etc is on these shows. This is about aliens and space stuff, not romance. I was hoping shep would make some comment about 'is this where we are supposed to kiss' and take a jab at himself but he didnt.
I'm amazed that a ship is ready to fly after 10000 years. They must have one heck of a good maintenance program and it's good no other being has every come across that ship before...whew

The earthlings in Atlantis are there on a military/scientific expedition that's very dangerous. Why would they send kids there?

as far as sending kids there, perfect science experiment and another twist to the show. I guess i should call the writers.

Worked for TNG. :D

No, TNG was very different because the Federation wasn't at war during the series (at least in this reality). The Atlantis crew has always been at war with the Wraith and now is also in a war with the replicators. Both these enemies are actively looking for Atlantis with the desire to destroy it.
