"Help" Center Not Much Help

OK, I know this is going to get in me in some trouble but I feel that it needs to be said and I'll put on my asbestos suite and await the flame.

This help center is pretty much useless.

I've posted 3 questions over the last 3 weeks, not very complicated questions either yet got no response. Views, oh yes, lots of views but no responses. Honestly I have received more help by going to the specific thread for whatever the ''''TCF" specific problem was and got better answers.

Now I know for a fact that there are many people in this forum who are smarter then agreat deal of others yet no response from some of the "old" timers.

For example I asked the other day if I could convert .tivo files to DVD. Not one single reply on this thread. Today on the S3 thread I saw it there.

I asked for help in another couple of areas which I've since eithe forgotten or resolvd myself.

And even looking at this page before I began this thread, look at all the unresponded post.

Maybe some of you felt I didn't do enough searching. That's a valid reason but please a few seconds for a response shows you care.

And I know that a whole bunch of you stil do care.

Anyway, I've spoke my piece on this. Do what you have to do, it is my opinion that this area is no longer a good place to find out info.

what are you talking about ? perhaps you should search for your own threads before posting that you get "not one single reply" when you got responses with information within a short period of time. :rolleyes:

OK, point taken. When I'm wrong I'll admit it.

But I will tell you that none of these post appeared until my original post got on to the second page and it wasn't within a 24 hour period.

So maybe my expectations are too high as far as how quickly they will get answered.

But I swear I did check these threads several times and there were no responses.

Still, it appears I may have made an error, I'll apologize. :o

There is a lot of good information here, you either need to be resourceful or be patient. Many of us frequent the help center, but sometimes we don't have a quick answer or are too busy to get to it right away. For a free service though, this area is one of the best around.
