Comcast HD & Series 2

Would the HD channels on my Comcast Classic cable service "pass through" my standard series 2 TiVo for viewing on my new HDTV? It hasn't worked on my first try and would like to learn of any settings changes or work arounds? I tried programming the TV with the cable connection passing through the TiVo and only got analog channels... Thx for any help/suggestions, although I'm guessing I'm looking at spending money on a TiVo HD box... Also heard of issues between Comcast and TiVo service?

S-Video & Composite connections are not capable of passing more than 480i, so "no", if you run your HD cable box through the S2 then everything will be scaled down. If you want HD and a TiVo then you'll need to get an S3, a TiVo HD, or one of those new Comcast TiVo boxes.
