Great to finally have this back on, but as usual, they start the season with a weak episode, IMHO. I'm glad to see that they didn't get JD and Elliott back together, but they definitely left that as a possibility with Elliott dumping Keith, and JD admitting he has no feelings for Kim. Both of those developments suck! I liked Elliott and Keith together, and I've always liked Kim (though I know a lot of people don't).

JD kept talking about how he impregnated Kim on their first date, but it was actually there second, right? When JD and Kim hung out on the deck at his 1/2 acre.

Keith: "string-haired pig whore!"
Carla: "Aww, you don't have string-hair!"
Elliott: "I know!"

I think it was "Straw haired"...

I thought it was a very good episode. I don't really care for that story line and don't let it ruin the show for me. The one liners and interaction between everyone seemed to be back to where it was a couple of years ago in my opinion. I laughed more at this episode than have many from last year.

Due to conflicts, I didn't catch many last year, I'm glad I don't have that problem this year.
I liked it. I hope Keith stays mad at her, love to see what he calls her all season...

I thought this felt like one of the older episodes as well. I think the episodes have been decent since "My Scrubs."

"And just like that, we had our old scrubs back."

I've been watching a lot of the episodes in syndication run and this one definitely had more of an old episode feel to it.

Didn't JD already learn that it's not fair to stay with a woman he doesn't love just so he doesn't hurt her feelings? Oh wait, that's also when he learned the lesson that he doesn't love Elliot. Nevertheless, they seem to be hurtling us towards getting those two back together, but I hope not. Maybe Elliot will end up with Sean. I'm not sure who JD's "best" girlfriend was, maybe Kylee?

Pretty good episode. Definitely not a top 10 episode, but not like some of the fairly painful ones from last season.

I liked this episode, it did feel like an older one.

Meh. The Todd was the only bright spot for me:

"Shh. Dong sleeping"

and later,

"Good morning!"

I'm guessing it was Rumplefugly.

I can't say I picked up on this myself - had to read it in an article - but did anyone notice the mention of "molebutt" in the list of JD's girlfriends? "Molebutt" was a nickname Elliot mentioned much earlier in the series that she had. :)

yes Mole Butt is Elliot. Turk said this in Carla's Her Story when JD broke up with Mandy Moore

I guess I'm in the minority so far: I thought the premiere was flat and largely unfunny. Bill Lawrence has said that they are getting back to basics and toning down the outlandishness this year, which I am all for, but not if it results in dull episodes like this one. Even their timing seemed wrong: some jokes took way too long to set up and others went on way too long. Still, it was largely an expository episode, getting things positioned for the rest of the season, so I'll hope for some actual comedy next week.

I like Kim and was hoping they'd decide to leave her and JD together. Sad to see this apparently isn't what they have in mind.

I missed this one...I HATE YOU NBC FOR BEING STUPID! I WANT to pay to download the show...I WANT TO...but you won't let me! I WANT TO GIVE YOU MONEY! If you're not going to give me the whole show on your site for free, at LEAST let me pay for it...please? ARGH.

It was no musical. Thank Heaven. (I tried TWICE to watch that one & couldn't make it through either time...)

I'm just not buying this plot development that Elliot never loved Sean...

Yup, Elliot was Mole butt but I wonder who Rumple Fugly is.

I liked this episode. The story lines aren't that great, with typical flip flopping character development but the jokes and interactions seem to be back on track.

No way, "Fugs" was awesome.

I'd like to see him get back together with Gift Shop Girl.

Gift Shop Girl got married in Scrubs land. It was on an episode in season 5. Also, she's on Chuck now.

Yes, I know Sarah Lancaster is now on Chuck, which is why I thought it would work to bring her back on Scrubs, since they're both NBC properties. However, I did not remember that Gift Shop Girl got married.

Yep. We learned that in the episode where JD realizes he can't see girls once they get married and put on wedding rings.

JD: "I thought you died. I sent flowers."
Gift Shop Girl: "I know. It was kind of awkward. You bought them from me."

Hum, I thought it was the first day and they were on the beach.

Just watched that episode in syndication:

First date: "bareback" horse ride on the beach (hmm, catch the double-meaning?)
Second date: Next day hang out on the porch and make out and get pregnant (but no actual sex)
